How it works

Clinically supervised care, supported by your daily picture

Kella follows the shape of your day: you check in, you log what you did, your wearable fills in the night, and over time the patterns show. Each step takes less than the last.

1

Check in daily

Five gentle sliders for energy, mood, swelling, rest and overall wellbeing. There are no wrong answers — just how today feels. You can update an entry later the same day.

2

Log what you did

Tap the treatments and activities of the day, and add a note if there is anything you would like your practitioner to know.

3

Follow your routine

After your appointment, your practitioner sets the self-care activities chosen for you. Tick each one off as you go — little and often is what makes the difference.

4

See the change

Trends over 7, 30 and 90 days with your treatments marked. Once you have logged the same treatment three times, Impact compares the day and night that follow against your usual readings.

The five sliders

Each scale, and what the ends mean

Every slider runs from 0 to 10. Swelling is the one where lower is better — your practitioner watches for it rising against your own 7-day average, not against anyone else's.

Your device

Let your wearable fill in the night

Connect a Fitbit or Google Pixel Watch and your sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability and activity are added to your trends automatically — no typing. More devices are coming.

Connecting

Open Kella, go to Profile, then Manage devices. You will be asked to sign in with the Google account your watch or Fitbit uses and to allow Kella to read your health data. You can disconnect at any time from the same screen.

When it syncs

Kella collects the previous day and night each morning at 6:30am UK time, so last night's sleep is waiting when you do your check-in. If a night is missing, make sure your watch has synced to its own app first, then check again the next morning.

Without a device

Kella works fine on the check-in alone. You simply will not see sleep and heart-rate lines on your trends until a device is linked.

Cycle & hormones

Your cycle and your hormones, read alongside everything else

Optional, and private to your care. Tell Kella whether you have regular or irregular periods, or are perimenopausal or menopausal, and your check-in and trends adapt to you. Nothing changes until you choose.

Log your period

A single tap on the daily check-in marks a period day, with light, medium or heavy flow if you want to add it. Kella works out your cycle day and phase and shades it onto your trends, so sleep, HRV, swelling and mood can be read against where you are in your cycle. It is an estimate for context, not a fertility or contraception tool.

Perimenopause and menopause

Choose either profile and a few extra one-tap questions join your check-in — hot flushes and night sweats, sleep disruption, brain fog, joint aches, anxiety or low mood — each tracked over 7, 30 and 90 days next to your wearable data, so you and your practitioner can see what is shifting.

More ways to care for yourself

The activity list now includes acupuncture, breathwork, meditation, yoga or pilates, strength training, walking, cold water, supplements, pelvic floor exercises, massage, a sleep hygiene routine, alcohol-free and caffeine-free days, journaling and time outdoors. Star the ones you use and they stay at the top of your list.

Private by design

Only you and the clinicians caring for you can see this information. It is stored with the same protection as the rest of your health data, included if you export your data, and removed if you delete your account. You can change or remove your profile choice at any time.

Impact

How "what seems to help" is worked out

Impact is deliberately simple, so it is honest.

Your own baseline

Kella takes your usual readings — average sleep, resting heart rate, HRV and swelling over the recent weeks — as the comparison point. Nobody else's numbers are involved.

The day and night after

For each logged treatment or activity, Kella looks at the following day's check-in and the following night's wearable data, and compares them with your baseline.

Three logs before it shows

One good night proves nothing. Impact only appears for a treatment once you have logged it three times, and it keeps refining as you go.

Patterns, not conclusions

Impact shows direction and size, in plain terms. What it means for your care is a conversation with your practitioner, who sees the same view.

Blood results

Your results, released by your clinic

When you have blood tests through your clinic, the results are added to Kella by your clinical team and released to you once they have been reviewed. They sit alongside your daily picture, so you and your practitioner can read them together.

Reviewed before release

Results appear in the Bloods tab only after a clinician has looked at them. If nothing is showing yet, they are still being reviewed.

Read with your practitioner

A single reading rarely tells the whole story. Bring questions to your next appointment rather than drawing conclusions from one number.

Please note

Kella is not an emergency service and results are not monitored around the clock. If you feel unwell, contact your GP or call 111; in an emergency call 999.
